PREXION 3D CBCT SCAN

Diagnosis is the key to successful treatment. To stay at the cutting edge of dentistry, our office has a Prexion 3D CBCT machine. Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) is a digital radiographic exam that is more precise than any other radiographic test in dentistry. It is extremely useful in root canal treatment, implant planning and placement, periodontal procedures, extractions, and to monitor temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder. Consider this device to be a dental version of a CAT scan.

All phases of implant treatment can now be done in our offices, from treatment planning, to taking CT images, to placing the implant and a beautiful restoration that matches your other teeth.

CBCT is simple for the patient. You'll stand in place and listen to simple instructions. The process is painless and safe, even for children. CT scans emit less radiation than all other forms of dental diagnostic testing. By having this machine in our office, our patients have access to this incredible technology. We are proud to be one few dental offices in the US to utilize this technology. Remember, your dental health is most important to us, and we will constantly stay ahead of the curve to bring you the best dentistry has to offer.

Oral cancer screening with oral ID

Your oral health is important to us and Dr. Jesse was one of the first dentists in the country to implement this technology.  Before, only people who smoke and drank heavily were concerned about oral cancer.  Now with HPV being extremely common we find it very important to screen all our patients no matter the age.  We screen every patient during your routine cleaning appointment.  OralID uses a proven, optically based technology called, "fluorescence technology." OralID's fluorescence technology uses a blue light (435–460 nm) that provides Dr. Jesse an aid in visualization of oral cancer, pre-cancer, and other abnormal lesions.

Laser Dentistry

Laser dentistry has revolutionized the way dentists can treat problems with the teeth and the soft tissues of the mouth. Utilizing laser energy, these innovative dentistry techniques can reduce harmful bacteria, remove damaged tissues, cut hard and soft tissue, or desensitize the teeth. Laser dentistry can also minimize bleeding and discomfort during procedures and accelerate the healing process.  Our office utilizes several different types of lasers to best treat your dental needs.

An innovative diagnostic tool, digital X-rays allow for a more detailed examination of the teeth. Digital radiography (digital X-rays) detect abnormalities in the teeth and soft tissues that are not visible to the naked eye. Instead of utilizing radiographic film, digital X-rays upload images via an electronic sensor to a computer. This allows Dr. Jesse the ability to enlarge the image so that he can take a closer look at potential problems. When uploaded to the computer, digital X-ray images provide a more detailed view of the teeth and oral cavity. The software used on the computer provides dentists with the ability to accurately measure the size of caries and previous dental work.

Saliwell & Salipen Devices to treat Dry Mouth

One of the Primary Complaints in the Dental Office is Dry Mouth or Xerostomia.

Many of us don’t think about it, but when we don’t have enough saliva it can cause problems such as:

  • Increasing your chance of developing dental decay and other infections in the mouth

  • Teeth absorbing fewer minerals like calcium and fluoride that are needed to keep teeth strong

  • Causing difficulties in tasting, chewing, swallowing, and speaking
